![]() ![]() For a while, I tried the two-pronged approach to email management (Mailbox for personal email, Mail/Gmail for work email), but streamlining always wins in the end. This was simply because it wasn’t compatible with my work email system. Truth be told, I hadn’t used Mailbox as my primary client for some time. So it’s with much sadness that I read the news this past week that Dropbox, the company which had acquired Mailbox, was shutting it down. While the road to email revolution was indeed paved with the bodies of startups, I’m always in favor of smart people trying to tackle this problem. ![]() Whereas some other investors in Orchestra, a clever - probably too clever - social task manager, may have been dubious of the shift, I was excited. I recall the time when Gentry Underwood told me he was pivoting his company into an email app.
