He had seen something, great promise, and he didn’t hesitate to let me know. He also said he’d mentor me to get me there. It was after one of such meetings that the LCP asked if I would, one day, like to be LCP. We were both energetic, we attended the regular general meetings, and slowly started getting invited to the SpecialOps meetings. Obviously, he did all the work, I listened and put in some fine finishing touches. One of the first successes I remember was working with Tella for his manifesto, my guy was going to be the next Vice President for Projects (VPP) in AIESEC Ilorin. AIESEC promised the adventure I was missing in my life at that time, and it delivered. Getting familiar with the teams and learning about the history of the organisation. I joined AIESEC Ilorin in 2009 and immediately got involved in the workings of the organisation. This is an AIESEC appreciation post, for the motivation and the opportunities. For those who need to catch up, I was a student in Unilorin, failed a couple of courses, dropped out after a year and started over in Unilag. However, I’ve almost always focussed on my failures everytime I’ve shared that story. I reckon alot of you already know I was once a student in Unilorin, I’ve shared the story a couple of times and even blogged about it.
